What is File destruction?
File destruction removes your fingerprints, photo, court records from police database, for the charges that were withdrawn, stayed, dismissed, absolute or conditional discharges, or peace bond.
Why do I need to have my file destruction if my charge was dismissed or I was not found guilty?
After your case is dismissed or not found guilty, the charge may remain on your record with a note that the case was dismissed. The charge may remain up to 3 years unless you get your file destruction.
